The women detail their goal-oriented technique of prioritizing and then clearly articulating the changes necessary in their marriages before they would reconcile with their husbands.

They were motivated by realizing that they were prepared to handle any challenge or crisis at work but that their problem-solving skills fell apart at home, they said.

The book is part of a subset in the popular self-help genre that advocates better communication between genders, yet uses a divisive title that appears to pit men against women.
